Following on from the first Fuchsgeist, this serves to finish the tragic duology by picking up where the first piece left off: the death of the fox. The piece wastes no time immediately diving into despair, as the fox lies in torment in the Valley of the Shadow of Death, writing and despairing with restless torment surrounding it. The piece is short but sharply acerbic to the ears, representing the forfeiture of peace and happiness in the shroud of Death.
